The very first geocaching event from GeoNord took place during the weekend of August 29, 2015, and gathered about 600 participants from all over Europe.
During our event on the theme of Earth, geology, and Earthcaches, our participants got he opportunity to (re)discover the mining heritage of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region at the Mining Historical Center of Lewarde in the North of France. More than half of the present geocachers visited on the guided tour the mining complex and museum.
For this first edition, we are offering several new features such as Carbo, our 2015 mascot, and VIP packs, which will quickly become the trademark of GeoNord.
